Mr James Canty

James Canty is an orthopaedic surgeon with national and international experience.

He has a broad range of orthopaedic practice, including the management of hip and knee arthritis, soft tissue and reconstructive surgery of the knee as well as general orthopaedic trauma.

After a number of years of surgical experience, he completed specialist training in orthopaedics through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Victoria.  James subsequently undertook two internationally regarded orthopaedic fellowships.  The first was in Melbourne, working under the guidance of Mr. John Bartlett, where he focused on all aspects of knee surgery.  He then spent twelve months working in Oxford (UK) in the Hip and Knee Unit of the renowned Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
