OSV Vietnam Hike & Hill-Tribes Challenge
By taking part in the OrthoSport Victoria Vietnam Hike & Hill-Tribes Challenge, you will not only enjoy the adventure of a lifetime: you will also be helping to support important medical research at OrthoSport Victoria.
The Challenge is fully-guided and suitable for anyone who is in reasonably good health and fitness, and able to participate in five to seven hours of daily walking.
What is this challenge?
The Challenge is a nine-day trek in northern Vietnam, through Hanoi and the stunning Sapa Valley. It is an unforgettable adventure through colourful cultures, breathtaking scenery, and delicious local fare.
Beginning with a visit to the 11th Century Temple of Literature in Hanoi, we will tour the historic Old Quarter by cyclo (bicycle taxi) before taking an overnight train into the stunning Sapa Valley. Here we will meet many of the remote and colourfully- dressed hill-tribe people; explore traditional markets; hike past stunning rice terraces, tea plantations and mountain waterfalls; and experience a taste of rural Vietnamese life.
